I'm wondering if someone can answer this question for me. I screwed up during the instal process. When the installer asks if you want to allow WAMP through the firewall, I chose 'no' instead of 'yes'. This has led to me not being able to access phpMyAdmin. I get a 403 forbidden error when I try I opened up port 80 and Apache is using it. I believe my problem is somewhere in my httpd.con

For some time now WAMP has been my servers set on Windows 7; I just upgraded my hardware, and now, WAMP throws a 403 Error message. Anyone have an idea as to why I cant access anything on wamp? No matter what I go to (locally), whether it be localhost, a vhost, phpmyadmin, it all comes up as a 403 forbidden error. This is locally on my machine, wamp is not online, as the install is for testing, not live sites. The odd thing is that it's happening on both my desktop pc and my laptop.

Hi, I can't figure this out. I had to reinstall WAMP and now I can't connect to simple HTML pages. I made a new folder and put a index.html page in it. When I try to browse to it I get the 403 Forbidden error. PHP pages are working, phpmyadmin is working. I don't get it. Why would HTML pages not work ? This is from my config file ( I have changed nothing, it's exactly as it was

I have recently switched from using mysqladmin to phpmyadmin. The reason being that one of university servers went down and i am now using wamp to create my own server on my laptop. The code above should show data from the team table. I can add data to the database but for some reason can't display it on my website. The code worked fine when using mysqladmin however it doesn't seem to work now. I

Having a couple problems with WAMP2 that I think might be related and if possible would like them fixed as soon as possible. First off, I'm running Vista 32 bit and IIS is disabled. I also changed my WAMP2 port to 808. I'll also state I've never used WAMP2 but used previous versions quite a bit. Issue; When I try access localhost:808 I get an "Unable to connect" error in Firefox. C

Months ago, when I was first installing wamp on my windows vista, 32 bit system, I couldn't get things running until someone here told me to change apache so it looked on port 81 instead of the default of 80. That fixed things. I've now turned off Windows IIS (which was using port 80 I believe), and I changed the line in Apache's httpd/conf file back to listen 80. I then restarted all se
