I've installed wamp, but when I click phpMyAdmin to continue set up I receive this error: "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server". I've allowed apache server in my Norton 360 firewall, but that does not help either. Please, what can I do to access phpMyAdmin and use Wamp

Wamp 2.2d x64 (newest atm). Right after installation, running the wamp server and putting it online (else localhost is forbidden) i try to open phpmyadmin. I get an error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server. I tried changing alias to (Allow,Deny, Allow to all), but someone here suggested that it is not a good idea. It actually worked, but the

Forget about the newer version of phpmyadmin, its not important. RE: Joomla, its not a speciality of mine but when I installed it I put it in a virtual host rather than just dropping it in a directory below the www folder. Try that, there is a doc here somewhere that will help setup a virtual host

H i There! I had no problem installing the WAMPP server. Went like a breeze. This is a two-part question; 1) After I installed Joomla! 2.5.4 in a subfolder in the root directory of the WAMPP server i named it OBS. I downloaded and installed a template I wanted to use. Yet when I bring the site up. I get the following 403 Forbidden message: You don't have permission to access /obs/<br /&

Day 2 trying to get this wampserver working on a Windows 7 64bit machine. I've read forum posts stating to edit the phpmyadmin.conf file but oddly enough there is no such file in wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.4.10.1 and the only config settings file I can see is the phpdoctor file which has none of the settings mentioned in these threads. I've been able to edit the apache settings to allow 127.0.0.1 a

I was using version 2.1 flawlessly until I was informed that in order to use a common Joomla php script that was not completing its processes in extracting a site backup to our localhost that we needed to update WAMP to its latest version. After having tried both the 64 & 32 bit versions of WS 2.2D and editing the windows host file as suggested we are continually now receiving 403 FORBIDDEN A

I setup wamp again on a rebuilt PC and this time i thought I would make some notes on what I did and why. I hope they will be useful to somebody else. These notes start from completing an install. 1. apache gives a 403 Forbidden error. Symptom: Look at Apache Access log ( from Wamp manager link ) if it is showing the IP address as ::1 instead of 127.0.0.1 this is the solution.

hmm... I deleted the user then instead of making a user I tried username=root with no password. Then I made a new user and I was able to access the database. I guessing I made a coding or spelling error the first. Thanks again!!

Fixed! I'm on windows server 2003 so i think when I went to run the installer it didn't give it FULL access. So I did an uninstall, and then manually deleted C:\wamp I then right click installer, choice Run as and unchecked the box that says "Run this program with restricted access" After installation I also did the run as and unchecked that box to actually run wamp. I used a netstat command from the cmd window of ... netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0.80 to find out what was listening on Port 80 ... and the process id indicated it was wampapache. However, 127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin comes up with a 404 error. I tried just 127.0.0.1 by itself and got a 403 Forbidden -- You don't have permission to access /webdav/v1/ on this server. My problem is similar. I loaded WAMP onto my desktop (win7 64) with no problem. For three evenings I've been trying to load it onto my laptop (Vista 32) but no matter how many times I delete and start again, I still get a 403 error code::Forbidden" when I try and log onto phpMyAdmin. The passwords in mysql monitor and config.inc are the same. The 'localhost' seems to otherwise be workable in

I've been using my wamp server for over a year now. Just about a week ago, my PHPMyAdmin and other database software stopped working. Though the wamp server is still working. I'm having a feeling that i must have mistakenly deleted a file or something. What could be the problem. I need answers ASAP. Thanks in advance.
