Yup some websites should be shutdown for sure. Like sXXXXXs.ws. Go there, and your garanteed a few toolbars and some spyware on your machine. Do not goto that site, even if curious. I paid the price a few months ago, hehe. Jason101

I totally agree CyberSpatium. I am not saying wamp5 is bad techno_man. All I am saying is that it is not secure AT ALL. Wamp5 is awesome, I love it! With my sites I had to move to a real hosting company because I was worried about security. I don't think there is a firewall or antivirus program out there that is totally secure. The only way to stay 100 percent secure is to unplug from the net. Th

You guys freaked me out with wamp5 not being secure at all. So I moved both of my sites, firstaramusements.com and freetoforum.com to a server through pixelsoupdeisgn.com. I did some research about security. SO I fugured it was in my best interest to not host them at home anymore. Gonna cost a bit every month but ah well. Just gonna use my wamp for testing stuff then move future sites to a hosti

Thanks CyberSpatium! I have alot of reading to do now, hehe. Gonna try to setup a linux server on one of my boxes, see if I can do it. First I am going to read many pages on those links you sent me. Security issues kind of bug me a bit. I want a secure server, but viewable over the net, hehe. Jason

I use wamp5 for hosting my websites on my machines here at home. I use two towers. One site on each machine. My old tower is a slower machine. With my newer machine I want to host a few websites on it, instead of just the one. Here are the links to my two sites. <~~~old machine. <~~~~new machine. If someobdy could even point me to a website that has a step by step on how to setup

I tried firefox web browser, nothing really cool. IE is still the most used browser. As well as apache is the most used for hosting. Big reason why lots of people use firefox is because they don't want microsoft to control the internet 100 percent. I have still recieved spyware while using firefox, nothing is impenitrible. Just use what your confortable with! I do agree with CyberSpatium, make

Thanks man. I will try it out and see how it goes. You need perl to run awstats as well. Funny can't download it from anywhere, lol. Download starts then just hangs there. Other downloads work fine, so its not me! Jason101 Post Edited (04-03-07 04:13)

I would just go back to windows xp pro! Not sure why people want to install a 64 bit operating system when most programs will not even work properly on a 64 bit os. Brought it out a little early I think. Jason

I am using webalizer right now for my site statistics. It looks like it is registering way to may hits for some reason. I started up another server with a new domain and it was up and running for about an hour and it says there were 2000 hits already. I know my site cannot be getting this many hits so quick. My questions are: 1. Is there a better program for keeping track of my site stats. 2. W

Hard to diagnose all these issues without knowing hardware, OS or many other things needed to know to fix the problem. Remove everything and rienstall just wamp! Wamp has everything you need anyways. Jason

Author: CyberSpatium (71.237.217.---) Date: 03-21-07 09:01 there is no php setting to set time. php gets the time from your local computers time setting. so, this is a script issue, not a wamp issue. post this question in the support forum for what ever forum script you are using. ************************************************************************************* Not sure if you even read

It is blocking that ip as i said before. There is nobody using my smtp server to send anything. The program generates log files, so i would be able to tell exactly whats going on. I would just like to know if anybody else has trouble with this ip as well. Jason

If you don't understand any of this, I suggest you take a step back and learn basic html first then work your way up. Otherwise you'll never figure it out. If you don't understand how a website works then how are you going to edit your phpbb forum? Jason
