I am having trouble getting the proper time to show up correctly on my forum. Need a little help. In Saskatchewan canada if that helps.

there is no php setting to set time. php gets the time from your local computers time setting.

so, this is a script issue, not a wamp issue. post this question in the support forum for what ever forum script you are using.

Not sure if you even read my question, hehe. I didn't even say it was a wamp issue? I posted here because i use wamp(seems like a good enough question to post here) I have always recieved great advice and help in this forum. I do not want to start posting anywhere else at this time. If this post is not wanted here, I am sure it could be deleted if needed be. Also the forum I use is phpbb2. Let me clearify it for you. My phpbb2 forum <----I need help setting up the time zone in the configuration. I know the phpbb2 forum will tell me the time by my computers time setting. In the php administration, under general admin, in the config settings......with the system time zone......what do i set it to for the time to show correctly on my phpbb2 forum? I understand the date format but whatever I set the time zone up, it never shows the right time on my forum. How do I fix this? I just want the proper time to show on the forum when people visit it. If this is a script issue, where do I fix it? Wamp issue, not really, but never the less, I still need help!

oh, you must be talking about what GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) to use.

Use this handy website to determine what your GMT is:

for an example, I live in the Pacific Northwest, USA, which is 8 hours behind GMT time my GMT setting is -8.

I live in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. Having trouble finding my GMT. Any Canadian website links to find that?

Saskatoon uses the Central Standard Time zone year round.

Hmmm I tried every GMT setting from GNT-12 to GMT +12. Didn't get the correct time with any of the settings. Wierd. I am at a loss now.

Central I believe, we never have to change the time here at all ever.

Central is GMT -06:00 and you should get the correct time on your forums; if you still get the wrong time, my best guess is you messed up w/ the script rather than just the time setting.

you might need to adjust the default time zone for the phpbb software
gimme and email and i'll walk you through the process
