Just installed wamp 2.2d on xp
Icon will not turn green,stays orange,port 80 is not used by anything else

Have a look at the services that are running
Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Service
You should have wampapache and wampmysql in the list and BOTH should say "Started" in the status column.
Which one is not started??

same for me, apache wont start. icons stays orange on new install. v2.1 was working fine
I installed [www.microsoft.com]
win xp, Wampserver (32 bits & PHP 5.3) 2.2E
//edit: fixed, uninstalled previous c++ libraries, left only last one
