The first question is:
- Did you meet the prerequisites BEFORE installing Wampserver?
These include:
- Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
Do not use a previously loaded tool. Make a new download to make sure you are using the correct version.
To download missing packages, do not rely on Microsoft links, they are not reliable, download packages on http://wampserver.aviatechno.net in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

What is the result or:

and the same for port 3306

I have tried multiple times trying to fix this issue with the wampmysql64 and asked a lot of people for help. However, no one can fix this issue and I don't know why. We changed the ports, did the reinstall a few times, tried to make a force directory in the my.ini file, tried installing the mysqld.exe, then initialized it from the command prompt and power shell. Even after all this, I have no clue why it starts and then stops automatically. I even tried using the mamp server, xammp server, but the issue is with the MySQL not running. Are you sure there is nothing else we can try?

Hi,

- 1 - Launch Wampserver even if icon is not green

- 2 - Left-Click -> MySQL -> Service administration -> Stop service

- 2 - Left-Click -> MySQL -> Service administration -> Remove service

- 3 - Open a command window as administrator on the bin folder of mysql8.0.31
Right-Click -> Tools -> Command Windows -> Command Windows MySQL/bin

- 4 - Exit Wampserver
This will not close the command window.

- 5 - In the command window, type :
cd..
rmdir /S /Q data
cd bin
mysqld.exe --initialize-insecure

There should be no error and the data folder has been created.

- 6 - Exit the command window with exit command

- 7 - Launch Wampserver

- 8 - Left-Click -> MySQL -> Service administration -> Install service

- 9 - Left-Click -> MySQL -> Service administration -> Start/Resume

The Wampmanager icon should turn green!

As I was doing step 5 and put in mysqld.exe --initialize-insecure

it tells me 'mysqld.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

What should I do

I had the same problem, I fixed it by making one simple change to step 5 to manually create the data directory after you have deleted the old one ....

- 5 - In the command window, type :
cd..
rmdir /S /Q data

mkdir data

cd bin
mysqld.exe --initialize-insecure

Even with the new version, I get the same response. I have about 256GB total storage on my disk.

I did the 5 step plan it seems to work, but after I did all the other steps it didn't turn green. I am going to restart my computer then try the steps one more time
