Hi Everybody, WAMP 3.3.1. 64-bit Windows-10 64-bit (21H1) Is it possible that WAMP will conflict with any browser settings? It seems that if I have an already open browser and then start WAMP, that the browser will start to behave badly. If so, what might I do?

Hi Everybody, Wampserver has been working perfectly, for as long as I've been using it to work web sites. I been retired throughout that period and my passion/hobby has become web sites. So! On to my question: Wampserver works flawlessly as long as I point to the right directory in the Virtual Hosts list AND name the file in question "index.php" Is that really necessary,

a Thank You to RiggsFolly. Thank you sir, for the really quick response to this question. You had actually responded within a short couple of hours, and I've spent the next three weeks with the Rapid PHP technical support people. Sadly, they have not been able to help. I appreciate the time you spend with this forum. It's free, and WAMP has been a real "find" while I try and le

Hi Everybody, I've been using WAMP for some time, and it works very well. With WAMP, I need to rename each small test-snippet to "index.htm" for WAMP to find and execute it. So I installed Rapid PHP 2022. This editor says that it can channel any previews through a Web server like WAMP. However, using the editor produces "undefined index" errors each time I execute. Agai

Hi Everybody, The details requested by RiggsFolly are at the bottom of this message. My issue is simple: I have a new PHP IDE (Rapid PHP 2022) that needs to access a web server to properly operate. I want to use such an IDE because it will allow me to inspect simple PHP scripts that I may integrate into a larger project. Wamp64 is installed in C:\wamp64 and works flawlessly on its' own

Hi Everybody, I usually want to test my PHP scripts while I am trying to write them. Scripts such as "Mail.php", or "comment.php", "login.php" ... the list is endless. However, so far I need to change the file name to index.php to successfully test. How can I avoid renaming a script and directly go to a test?

Dominique, Thank you for your answer. Although WAMP had nothing to do with the issue I had created for myself, your answer did lead me to a solution, and a better notion of how all of this works together. Best regards, Paul

Hi Everybody, I have completely removed WAMP, cleaned my registry, and installed WAMP 3.1.3 When I click on the green WAMP icon, everything appears to work, but I do see a warning at the bottom of the WAMPSERVER menu, stating: ERROR C:/wamp64 or PHP in path When I click on this warning, a command window opens and refers to : c:\wamp64\bin\php\php5.6.31/php.exe with the message -

Hi Folks, I' have updated to version 3.1.0 but suddenly get stumped trying to move from the "Aestan Tray" to the localhost, the phpMyAdmin, and the Your VirtualHosts choices. The error message is: Could not execute menu item (internal error) Could not execute run actions: The system cannot find the file specified I'm pretty sure I caused this by fooling around. Hi Everybody, (Details at bottom) When I use the MySQL Console, any errors will be flagged with a French language comment. I could change the language selection with the following: mysql> SET lc_messages = 'en_US'; However, I do need to enter this with each instance of the MySQL Console use. This is a very workable but short-term "fix". I would like to find the default

Thanks RiggsFolly, for taking time to answer my question. I should have included that information with the first edit that I had made. Yes, I have modified the right hosts file. Same behaviour as before. I can properly access mySql and phpmyadmin, but if I select any of the folders in the "My Projects" menu I'll open a new browser tab displaying the Wampserver Homepage.

Hi everybody, With all of my fooling around, the privilege list on my practise database has far too many names. Good idea to clean that list up. This phpMyAdin is version 4.0.4 wamp is version 2.4-x64 In the phpMyAdmin display, I see a list of the users, with only an "Edit Privileges" option. Hi Everybody, I have the phpMyAdmin in my wampserver menu list of course, in the C:\wamp directory. I also have a different phpMyAdmin available through my account with a Web Hosting service. As it stands, neither phpMyAdmin seems to have access to any other databases, save the ones created by that specific phpMyAdmin. Understandable, I would have to tell it a directory path to find and vi

Hi Riggs, I hear you! "You can upgrade it, but you need to know a lot more about a whole bunch of things before you try it." My overall solution to getting wamp to work was to uninstall it.... remove registry entries, and re-install the whole thing from scratch. Amazing! It worked like a charm, so clearly it was my screwing around that got me in trouble. I do need to know a lot
