Thanks for your reply toivo! I saved the Excel file as 'Tab delimited' as you recommended and imported the file. The result was an error on line 112 and so thought that it must be the fact that there are '£' symbols so I removed all of those and saved the file again and another error on line 122. The weird thing was was that ther is nothing in any of the cells that indicate an error of any kin

OK, so for my site (www.ultimate-top-trumps.co.uk) where I want people to search the site for a specific pack I will need to list each and every pack I add, all 1600 of them? OK I now know that I have a huge job in front of me. Will I need to add anything extra if I want to be able to search using year, country and producer, the same sort of thing as the Advanced Search on many websites? An

I am trying to sort out a database to play with and get used to before I go ahead and create one for my site and to be honest I am completely lost and confused. I understand that the values in Field are between '' but what do all the other options mean such as Type, Length/Values, Collation, Attributes etc etc? I thought for a minute it was me going a bit potty!! lol Done and sorted but it now says Your configuration file contains settings (root with no password) that correspond to the default MySQL privileged account. Your MySQL server is running with this default, is open to intrusion, and you really should fix this security hole.

There are just 2 files in the Alias folder phpmyadmin.conf and sqlitemanager.conf

I have shut WAMP down and restarted it andthe icon is now white, duh! The error message reads #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

phpmyadmin, yes. As an after thought I exited WAMP and restarted and the icon is back to 3 quarters and yellow, so, I don't know. I honestly did not think that MySQL was going to cause an issue but that just proves what I know, nowt!

In between your replies I have been playing and I have deleted MYSQL 5.0 that I installed the other day as it weas recommended and now the icon is white with the pointer horizontal. But I cannot log on.

I have disabled Skype as I read that earlier that it does cause problems. If this is the main cause then I would willingly get rif of it as it is a pile of the brown smelly stuff, and this will be the perfect reason!

I uninstalled WAMP and then re-installed it, literally letter by letter. I added the php.mycrypt extension and still does not prevent any privileges. The icon still is yellow. I have followed the Guides to the letter but still without any success with these.

All set up and running, but the icon is 3 quarters yellow. Should it not be green or something with the arrow right down? Hi I have just downloaded this, double clicked the icon and nothing. I get a small icon in the bottom right corner that does nothing when I either right click it or double left click it. Anyone help?
