After knowing the possibilities of WAMP... I have a question below. What hardwares (PC specs) and broadband speed do I need to put up a web hosting service? Maybe start with the minimum and then the best one. Thanks.

Hi I think what I meant was to change the SERVER API to CGI/Fast Cgi mode rather than using Apache I was planning to run my own hosting but thinking I would need much fast internet speed. How much broadband speed do I need to have in order to give out web hosting services?

Hi how do I setup an FTP account so that I can use filezilla to access my directory wherever I go? And SMTP to sendmails? I have a domain point to a free DNS service, using my public IP to access my website in WAMP server. Thanks!

Hi how do we change how the PHP runs in my wamp to CGI mode? The default SERVER API is apache.. and how to install suexec? Thanks I love wamp.. but not enough knowledge to use it. Is it possible to run a online server using WAMP outside my local PC so that people from the internet can access my site?

Sorry I searched thru the forums and see the answer now, WAMP is mainly built for local testing/development server. So it is best not to use it as online because people could easily hack into our local server. But what if I just want to stream files for upload/download? (I have no intension to share illegal stuffs) Will still slow down my internet speed and performance of my standard computer?

Hello, First of all WAMP is really the best test server I've been using around. I have tried some other but hard to install and not easy to use. WAMP is different. Anyway I got a question, how do we put our local site online? What are the things we need to do first? And where could I get a cpanel/ WHM installed on my local webserver? Could you please explain this step by step? Thank you!
