Hello,

First of all WAMP is really the best test server I've been using around. I have tried some other but hard to install and not easy to use. WAMP is different.

Anyway I got a question, how do we put our local site online? What are the things we need to do first? And where could I get a cpanel/ WHM installed on my local webserver? Could you please explain this step by step? smiling smiley

Thank you!

Sorry I searched thru the forums and see the answer now, WAMP is mainly built for local testing/development server. So it is best not to use it as online because people could easily hack into our local server.

But what if I just want to stream files for upload/download? (I have no intension to share illegal stuffs) Will still slow down my internet speed and performance of my standard computer?

Thanks.

Slow down or not depends on your connection speed and the file's size, and here is at least 3 ways to do it

1. PHP coding for up/down
2. PHP coding for FTP
3. Stand-alone FTP

Also, might be interesting check my old post here
