Thanks. I will try your suggestions. Although it seems strange that it has started to fail after years of working and no changes being made.

The icon for WS is always showing in orange but everything is working, as far as I know. This has been installed for years and has not been edited lately. I don't know when the icon stopped showing green since there was not reason to look at it. If I use the restart or refresh options, the color changes to red and then to orange. The four prompt windows open as normal. I also tried rebooting but

I have WS 2.1 running with these versions: php 5.1 through 5.3 apache 2.2.9 mysql 5.5.8 on Windows 7 I need to have php working for 5.2 through 5.6. I thought about upgrading WS but saw posts that said it wouldn't work with the older versions of php. So I opted to try to just add each version. I installed php 5.4.45. When I tried it, my test site failed to load but I didn't see an

I installed 2.5 yesterday but after working on it all day, I was still having problems. So I decided to revert back to my previous 2.1 installation since I needed to work on some sites. I followed the procedure I found here - removing services, stopping services and exiting - but when I renamed the wamp server directory to use the previous one and started wamp, it wouldn't start. When I look

Can someone try this code to see if the same thing happens. It might help me figure out where the problem is at.

I pologize for the delay in getting this posted. I thought the problem was related to mysql and was trying to come up with an easy test to show it but then I found that is not needed. If i run the following, instead of 10,000 lines being displayed on the page, the default php editor opens. The editor will contain this output along with the contents of the file. If I comment out the echo statement

I have about 400 sites setup and they all work fine. It is only when the contents of a dropdown list is too large that this happens. I can edit the database of any site this happens with and remove some of the items and the page will load correctly. It doesn't matter what I remove, it is just the quantity, as far as I can tell. When a dropdown list is viewed in the source, all of the options are

When I try to view a page that has a large number of items, the default php editor opens instead of the page. I thought this might be due to memory being low so I changed the setting in php's php.ini file to 2 GB but it still fails. Does anyone have any thoughts as to how to fix this. Using WampServer 2.1

Thank you for the help. I think i was finally able to trace it down to a missing zip dll in apache version 2.0.63. There's one in the 2.2 version but the code I'm working on won't work with php 5.3 so it seems I'm out of luck.

Since no one seem to have an answer for this, I'm wondering if anyone would be able to confirm that zip even works with Wamp?

I get the "Call to undefined function zip_open" message when I try to use zip open. I have teh line "extension=php_zip.dll" in the php.ini file and looking at php_info it shows Zlib support enabled. I'm using php version 5.2.9. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to get this to work?

I've had Wamp with php versions 5.2x and 5.3x installed and working. All of a sudden, something has changed that is preventing me from switching to 5.3. I've tried re-installing that version - same thing. When I switch the apache version, the log shows that it was switched. But when I look at the version through Wamps GUI, it stays on the old version. Same with php. I've tried rebooting, stoping

I've been using XAmpp for some time and have many projects setup. They are all configured to use a certain directory I've setup in XAmpp. I would like to move to Wamp since I need the multi-php version option it offers but having to change all of those paths to match Wamps is not something I have time to do, nor should have to do, in my opinion. I looked at all of the documentation that was ment

Yes, I'm obviously missing the point. I have wamp installed, I can use it with multiple projects and everything works fine. All I want to do is change one path - most likely a php.ini setting - but that, apparently, isn't possible. Very strange. I do appreciate the references you provided though.

Oh my - seriously. To change a path in a setting somewhere? I just found wamp after using xampp for years and was impressed with how much better the package is put together. It's hard to believe the authors would stop short of adding a simple option to change an internal path. Oh well, I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.
