Hi I have never do this before, please forgive me. I tried to do what you suggested but i think i was going in the wrong way. This is what i did. I clicked on my computer to get to C drive, then clicked on it to get to Window, clicked on to get to system 32 and so on until i got to host, but when i clicked on host, i few programs opened and i was asked to chose one to open it. Hi The computer am using is a new one. I havent yet installed any Anti-virus software(i know its a bit risky) will do it soon. I know there is the preinstalled firewall. I dont think you mean to delete that one. If its so, how do i reinstall again. I run regedit and I couldnt fine wampapache instances. When i run regedit, i got 5 Hkey folders. Hi Thanks for your advice. I did what you suggested however when i tried again I got a broken link error message. I checked the port 80 again by doing a test, i still get the same message "Your port 80 is actually use by: information not available (might be Skype). Any idea whats going on? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I installed wamp server. At first all was fine until i started using Skype. At first i thought i made some mistake while installing. So i reinstalled. Hi! I have a similar problem. My web server icon is red and white. I found out that my port 80 is being used by Microsoft-IIS-7.0. I wonder if there is a way to make a chage so that the port 80 is used ny wamp. Will this change cause me problem with other application? Any idea and suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Everyone! My local host server is red and white. i couldnt get my local host as WAMP. IIS7 is using the port 80. I have never installed IIS7, i wonder how i can get rid of it (by doing so, will this cause me problem with other application) so that i can get WAMP as my local server. Hi Everyone! I have decided to work with Joomla to develop website and as such I wanted to create a local server. I downloaded and installed WAMP. When I click on local host or typed "localhost" in the firefox browser, instead of getting WAMP as my local host, i get IIS7. Any ideas or guideance how I can make WAMP my local host. Many thansk!
