i have installed nothing. i had a "virus" yesterday, norton removed it remotely, and the problem began shortly after that but i dont think this problem is virus related - perhaps norton related? but they are of no help.

yesterday, all was fine. my icon was green and my web sites all had internet access.
today, i woke up, my icon was yellow and nothing seemed to work.

i went on the forum and followed what has been suggested.

1. change listen 80 to listen 0.0.0.0:80
2. delete my.ini
3. get team viewer (ever hopeful that you can help)
4. delete my.cnf
5. change 3306 to 80 in my.ini (absurd but i tried it)

all is back to the original but my icon is still yellow, i can not get access to phpadmin, and i can load my web pages but no internet access.
