WampServer

I currently have wampserver2.2e-php5.4.3-httpd2.2.22-mysql5.5.24-32b installed but there are some issues with 5.4 thowing warnings ... I'm wondering how I can add the php version from wampserver2.2e-php5.3.13-httpd2.2.22-mysql5.5.24-32b without reinstalling? Its not listed in the add-ons

maybe just turn off the warnings? or fix the errors in your code.

its not issues with 5.4... its issues with your code

you can probably just install that wamp over the other wamp.. then on the menu you will have two of each verion..


but just remember that the newer wamp uses "require" instead of "allow" for permissions so you if you get an access denied page , thats why

its a well documented issue I'm speaking about but I won't get into that.. IF i simply reinstall it will wipe the DB afaik which is NOT what I want.

i didnt say reinstall.... i said INSTALL OVER....

wamp uses "onlyifdoesnotexist" so it wont overwrite another version of the same name.


if your so worried about that happening, shut down wamp, rename the c:\wamp folder to c:\wamptempname

install this other wamp at c:\wamp and copy out the php you want.

Delete this other wamp, DONT UNINSTALL IT, just delete the folder.

rename c:\wamptempname back to c:\wamp.

copy in the php folder.

start up wamp

resinstall the services using the menu.





id like to see this well documented issue with php5.4 ....
