i didnt say reinstall.... i said INSTALL OVER....
wamp uses "onlyifdoesnotexist" so it wont overwrite another version of the same name.
if your so worried about that happening, shut down wamp, rename the c:\wamp folder to c:\wamptempname
install this other wamp at c:\wamp and copy out the php you want.
Delete this other wamp, DONT UNINSTALL IT, just delete the folder.
rename c:\wamptempname back to c:\wamp.
copy in the php folder.
start up wamp
resinstall the services using the menu.
id like to see this well documented issue with php5.4 ....
