MySQL Service Won't Start [Windows 8]

Hi, today I started up wamp and for some reason my phpMyAdmin page wasn't starting up. So instead of trying to figure out what it was, I went and downloaded WAMP 2, installed it.. It starts but the MySQL service won't start... I have no idea what is wrong, but my job relies on WAMP, and I need to finish a project ASAP. I don't want to upload onto an actual server every single time.

Can someone please help?

Here is a screenshot of what error comes up when I try and click put online, or offline.

I am using windows 8, how do I get WAMP to run again?

HELP!

Thank you,
Luke Brodowski

You get this message when you try to "Put Online" and apache is not actually running, so its not anything to do with the real problem.

Your problem is actually that apache is not running.

On W8 CP you have to edit your HOSTS file to uncomment the "127.0.0.1 localhost" line, have you done that?

Actually i fixed so i can access phpmyadmin by adding allow from all. Now my only problem is any page that i create returns a 500 internal server error... it was working fine before this all happened. now what?

Not exactly fixed then.

Try undoing all you did and then work through this help/tutorial
