WampServer

hey i've been trying to fix the issue with wamp on my pc the issue is as follows

after installation i try to start it up, it gives me the aestan tray menu has stopped work error.
wh i go to close the program it pops up with another error which says " exception exception in module wammanager.exe at 000f15A0. could not execute run function "
so basicly it won't run.

i've read other answers on the matter and yet those fixes offered does not help , heres what i've tried.

reinstalling the 2008 C++ pack
making sure anything using port 80 is off ( i have made doubly sure about this using cmd and comodo.
i've even tried installing X32 and x64 ( mine is a x86)
and iss is turned off

im using windows 7
some help would really be apprieated

I am having this same issue.

I am running:

WinXP Media Center Edition - SP 3
32 bit (installed 32bit version of WAMP)

only other web service running is a Minecraft server and it is not on any port WAMP would use.

Anyone with any clue as how to fix this would be great, I would rather use WAMP then XAMPP.
