for php. you will need to install the addon first.
MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE AN ADDON WITH THE SAME NAME.
if you do - temporarily change the name of that folder , and when the intall is done, change it back
DO NOT SELECT THIS NEW VERSION ON THE WAMP MENU YET
Once you have installed the addon ( example php5.3.4) you will need to edit two files.
C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.4\php.ini
C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.4\phpforapache.ini
find
extension_dir = "c:/wamp/bin/php/php5.3.4/ext/"
and replace with
extension_dir = "c:/wamp/bin/php/php5.3.4_vc6_x32/ext/"
Then you can RIGHT click the wamp icon and press refresh.
The same procedure for apache is needed except you will need to change the following
c:\wamp\bin\apache\apachex.x.x\conf\httpd.conf
ServerRoot "c:/wamp/bin/apache/apachex.x.x"
to
ServerRoot "c:/wamp/bin/apache/apachex.x.x_vc6_x32"
If you select either copy for the wamp menu before making these changes, this will not work.
so my adivce would be to
1.Check the version names wont clash with previous installs ( temp rename other versions)
2.Install the 2 addons
3.Close WAMP
4.Rename and edit the files/folders.
5.Start Wamp
6. Select the addons on the menu
