WampServer

HI
I'm new to wampserver but have it installed and it was running fine. I am developing a site on it. However now when I click "Start Wampserver" the icon changes from Red to Amber but stays on that. I have checked and cannot see why it doesn't start properly. Any ideas please. I run Windows 7 and have rebooted my PC!

Make sure no other program conflict Wamp such as IIS, Microsoft Web Deploy, Web Deployment Agent Service, SQL, Skype, Zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, NOD32, Eset, any web related program including Remote Desktop, Teamviewer or Apache, MySQL, PHP outside wamp folder (ie. in Program Files or System32 folder) ...

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and might conflict in some way, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista/W7:

Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp

Also, in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc, open file hosts and delete anything in this file and have only this line below and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

If using Skype, open Skype > Tools > Options > Advanced > Connection then uncheck "use port 80..." restart Wamp then Skype

I have turned off my antivirus, IIS, Skype, restarted computer and server but "wamp server" is still offline still like amber..

what more i can do to make "Wamp server" working

Sounds like your firewall/antivirus blocks Wamp and temporary disable Antivirus/Firewall will NOT work, so uninstall both Wamp and firewall/antivirus, remove wamp folder, run regedit to search and delete 2 registries wampapache and wampmysql, restart PC, reinstall Wamp first then reinstall firewall/antivirus AFTER and WHILE Wamp is running

I have the same problem with windows 7. Cant run Apache server. I turned off port 80 in skype,teamviewer...

you said goto drivers and then to hosts but their it shows my email open in outlook
