Apache Log

Running WAMP on Vista. My logs are at the default C:\wamp\logs

Although I use Wamp every day, I notice that the log C:\wamp\logs\access.log only shows a few entries from last August. I deleted them, so the log is currently empty, and remains empty, despite running some local programs.

Could I have switched off the log?? Or could the log be elsewhere? I can't see another access.log on the hard disk.

I am trying to trace issues with .htacces, and think that the log might be useful

Of course, as soon as I ask, I figure it out for myself!

The location of the log is available from Apache - httpd.conf, in my case under CustomLog.

I had changed the location to a different hard disk.

Wampserver doesn't seem to notice that the location is different, which is not a major problem - unless you forget that you have moved it!

You can move the logs folder to another disk but not only the apache log.
To do that, modify $logDir in wamp/scripts/config.inc.php
It would apply for php_error, apache_access, apache_error and mysql logs.
Note that this only modify link in wamp menu and not the log path in each part of wamp.
