I have disabled my firewall, and in Firefox I see the page in white.

In Internet Explorer and Chrome says that the page doesn't exist!

I don't know know what else to do!

Hello, I am having the exact same problem. I am using Windows Vista Home premium. The ::1 localhost line is in my host file, but I cannot delete it. At least, when I try to save the file it tells me I don't have permissions. I thought perhaps i could run the file as an administrator but the menu wouldn't give me that option. I'm not sure if this is the solution to my problem, but you suggested it and I'd like to try it. Is there a security setting that i need to change to be able to edit this file? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I turned off the User Account protection and that allowed me to edit the file. I am still getting an HTTP 404 error when i try to pull up any of the administrator pages. Also, the meter for Wampserver is only 3/4 full. I have a feeling this is a common problem and I've seen others write similar topics so hopefully you can provide me with a quick fix. I've gone through the posts and tried everything so far but still having the same problem. Thank yuo for your help in advance!

Also of note, I do nopt have Skype on my machine. I also don't have anything that could be using port 80. I have .NET framework installed and am running Norton Antivirus. I had Wampserver installed on another machine a long time ago but I would consider myself new to this. Here is my log file from MySql, not that I'm sure it will help anyone to see it. Thank you again. ;-)

Wamp in Windows VIsta Home Premium

Hello I have Windows VIsta Home Premium, and the solution was so easy for me.

- just go to the WAMP instaler (.exe) and make right click and click in PROPERTIES

- go to COMPATIBILITY and in Compatibility mode CHECK Run this program in compatibility mode for:
WINDOWS SERVER 2003 (SP1)

- click in OK

and that's all EASYYYYY!!!! i try a lot of times before do this and firefox show me a blank screen, but after this WORKS PERFECTLY!!!! smiling smiley

If you have the software installed and it doesn't work, uninstall it and use some software for clean the registry (i used Vista manager) restart and try to install again with Winserver compatibility.

I hope that this easy solution works for you to.

PEACE!!!
