Suggestions for new release without manual "hacks"

Is there a way to configure WAMP without the manual "hacks"?
Yes there are neat ways to change to the version of PHP, Apache or even MySQL but what if I need to;
    change the port? OR
    change the web browser? Or
change any other setting that may need to be changed in WAMP?

I suggest a page dedicated in WAMP to allow the user to change the settings as they need to,
hoping that a future release could include these and other cool stuff!

I really enjoy using WAMP, it is easy for me to understand.

Cheers

hi im currently working on these and will have them available for download in about a week. you can get them on [pampserver.com]

i wont be building these directly into wamp page as version changes happen too often but i will make them onto one taskbar icon like wamps.

Hi Steven

How are you managing so far?

Is the downloads or scripts available on pampserver?

Cheers

hi. finished the port and broswer settings.. am working on an automatic vhosts section too.

please remember this will be a seperate app to wamp as the wamp menu uses php to make the changes but most of the time the port number issue stops wamp from working so php wont be runniing at the time.

i was thinking about MyISAM to InnoDB but the new release of wamp with 5.1.30 uses a template file(not in my.ini)

i suppose i can make a wamp2a to to 2d version and then a 2f + version

so is there anything else anyone can think of that needs to be edited in the config files quite regularly that is not on the wamp menu before i bundle it into an exe?

thanks

Strangely enough it seems that you and I are the only ones that are interested in this, ODD?

Hi Steven

Is that the latest version of WAMP here; [www.wampserver.com]

I haven't installed it, I fear I may lose all my manual hacks.

Regards,
Cheers

Is it an add-on [www.wampserver.com] or this release [www.wampserver.com]
