Thanks for the much appreciated invaluable troubleshooting tips.
I'm following the tutorials in the links provided, but I have one problem though i.r.o. the backups so far.
This is the instruction in the backup tut. , but I don't find the line as stipulated in the my.ini folder of Mysql5.1.30., namely:
Open file my.ini in folder C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.0.xx and find this line: default-storage-engine=INNODB Change to: default-storage-engine=MyISAM
However, I found this line: default-storage-engine=<<{MIXED|INNODB:INNODB}{:MYISAM}>> in the file (my-template) in the C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.1.30 directory.
Therefore, what do I have to change or is it necessary to run a sync backup for version Mysql5.1.30?
Sorry but how in the world do you comment out a line that just is not there. I understand that I have to comment it out however it is no where to be found where you state it is.
So the question that was asked by rsolomon, which was
However, I found this line: default-storage-engine=<<{MIXED|INNODB:INNODB}{:MYISAM}>> in the file (my-template) in the C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.1.30 directory.

so is this where we are to find the file needed to comment out?
I have done the same as this person [learnbythedrop.com] but I'm on SP3 and I don't have default-storage-engine=INNODB but just put default-storage-engine=MyISAM in the end of the file. Haven't started Drupal yet because of this phpmyadmin problem. :-(
