Dear Helper,

I have been successfully testing and implementing the WAMP 2.0c on my Windows 2003 Server.

However I have a issue which requires little bit guidance from your side.

The things works great when the default port is 80. However due to some reasons I have to change the default port and that I successfully changed by edit the Apache's Conf file.

However When I do the left click and from there launch phpmyadmin, localhost or some another default installed APP then I get Error (obviously the error will come because I have changed the default port and the default shortcuts pick the links like [localhost] however lets say that I have changed the listeining port to 8080 then the server opens at [localhost] however the shortcuts there aren't able to picup that change).

Any Guidance over this issue i.e how to change the urls of these shortcuts i.e which File I have to edit ?

Regards

Vibs

What i think they (who ever they are) should do is under the apache folder in the menu is add a script to change the port. it will change the port and then update the urls and restart the server

I'm having the exact same problem as Vibs - Wamp is listening on port 8080. I can get to everything fine by typing the address including the :8080, but I can't use the links in the Wamp menu because they default to port 80. This is moderately inconvenient.

From the dates on this thread it doesn't look as though there is a solution right now, but if one appears, I'd like to get it also.

well if you have permently changed to 8080 you can edit the wampmanager.tpl file in the wamp folder. replace any http links with :8080 after the domain.tld

as for a dynamic script to change it... great idea. ill have a go at building one today smiling smiley

but i dont see it being implemted into wamp as some people listen on many ports.

ie

Listen 80
Listen 8080
Listen 81

people may do this for a port based vhosts file.. they also may supply ip address

Listen 123.456.88.90:80

Steven,
Editing the wampmanager.tpl file suits me just fine, I'll do that tomorrow. Thanks!
