Whenever I open mySQL it stays up for about 2-3 seconds then it crashes. The service literally crashes. Not WAMP entirely, just mySQL. I have changed my SQL password, but it shouldn't make a difference, should it? Anyway, what am I doing wrong? (I have the latest version-updated this morning)

-EDIT-
I looked at the logs and it said I had a second mySQL server on port 3306, I conected, something WAS running there, but I dont know what.....

have you ever had any mysql or different wamp package before? if yes, after uninstall it, did you perform a FULL clean up including in windows and in registry? if not, backup all critical data, then try to uninstall this wamp package, and before re-install this wamp, delete the whole wamp folder, search and delete all related files in windows and in registry including apache, mysql, php, wampapache, wampmysql, so on.

Have fun,
