WampServer

Hi All,

I know i'm beating a dead horse here but i've google and tried everything recommended. I've checked ports listening, changed socket to c:/tmp/mysql.sock, i've unistalled and reistalled. I dont know what else to try.

any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Windows 7 64 bit

wampserver 2.5 64bit

apache 2.4.9

mysql 5.6.17

php 5.5.12

Wampserver icon is green and online in the taskbar

Are you sure that you do not have another MYSQL Server installed and running on your PC?

This is normally the reason for this!

you're right, i did have another instance of MYSQL running. I've closed it out and restarted the wamp application and still same issue.

Is their something else i should check or should I do an unistall reinstall?

There was an oversight to WampServer 2.5 in 64 bit.
In the wamp/bin/mysql/mysql5.6.17/my.ini file replace:

[wampmysqld]

by

[wampmysqld64]

This group name must have the name of the mysql service

Before you install a version of WampServer, did you have verified that both services (wampapache or wampapache64 and wampmysqld or wampmysqld64) no longer existed?

Just unistalled and reinstalled to verify sql no longer existed and reinstalled and now same issue as before. are their any logs that i should be reviewing?

So, i'm now on the phpmyadmin page, however when i click on the status tab or any of the other tabs it says I get the following error message:

Do you mind if I ask, why have you gone for WAMPServer 2.4 and not 2.5

i rolled back to 2.4 because I dont get the phpmyadmin page to appear on 2.5.

Try uninstalling 2.4 and installing 2.5

Remember to delete \wamp folder after the uninstall and before the install of 2.5

If 2.4 works then 2.5 should also work
