WampServer

Wampserver icon starts up red and then goes to orange. The icon does not reach green

- MySQL Service did not start

It began at morning, I unistall and install again 4 or 5 times (if you lease need

mora information of event viewer I can sand all as .evtx; .xml; .txt or csv file by

email.

Please, how to solve it?

Well it looks like you have another instance of MYSQL running on your system.
You can run 2 or more MYSQL instances on your system, but you need to know what you are doing.

If you look in the Windows Services snapin ( services.msc ) you will probably see more than one MYSQL service.


WAMPServer installs MySQL as a service called wampmysqld so if you see a service called MYSQL then you have 2 instances installed.


I would suggest uninstalling the other MYSQL, but make sure you know why its there and do any backups that may be required before you uninstall it!

Through services.msc, I confirmed that there is a MySQL automatically instantiated. I do not know who or what did it.
I found, too, that there is no dependence for this service. Can I disable it and try to use the WAMP?

Yes.

Some Apps come with MYSQL installed under the covers so to speak, did you install MySQL Workbench by any chance? That can come with a MYSQL instance if you select the full version.
