I am trying to install the WAMP Server on a Windows 8.1 workstation. The installation proceeds to the finish without errors. Unfortunately, the Apache Server refuses to start. I need specific steps to take to resolve this issue. I look forward to hearing from someone. I am starting a project and need this operational as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.

Please make sure you have all the required Microsoft Visuall C/C++ runtime libraries installed. Thats the runtimes, you dont need the full compiler.

See this STICKY document Missing MSVCR100.DLL or MSVCR110.DLL SOLUTION for instructions on which are required and how to and where to download missing ones from.
