Do not use port 1080. All ports under 1024 are preset for some applications or protocols. A widely used replacement for port 80 is 8080.

if you mean securing ftp access : you will have to disable the anonymous access to your ftp server. That way users will be forced to login to be able to access the files. if you mean securing http access of the files in the ftp folder : you will have to use an .htaccess and .htpasswd file to force users to use a user/password to access that folder. This was not only happening with php. It would also happen with jpg,gif,xml,swf,etc. anyway I found a solution on the apache website. I had to add this to httpd.conf : EnableSendfile Off EnableMMAP Off Win32DisableAcceptEx My problem is, even if it's fixed now, I do not know what the problem was, or why these lines fix it.
