Hi again, all -- So, aside from my "data directory" question in my other post, I have a real problem. After installation (yes, even a vanilla :-) installation with no tricks) mysqld will not start. There is, AFAICT, no log output or anything else. I'm completely stumped. Any tips? TIA again & HAND

Hi again I now have WAMPServer working. I am thrilled :-) I have successfully changed the Apache DocumentRoot to my c:/users/root/wamp/www dir and would like to do the same sort of thing for mysql.
