Services wampapache and wampmysql didin't exist anymore after upgrading to Windows 8.1, using these commands: --- wampmanager -> MySQL -> Service -> Install Service wampmanager -> Apache -> Service -> Install Service Then try to reatrt all services. --- wampserver started again to work! thanks a lot for your support. After installed upgrade to windows 8.1 wampserver 2.2 icon appear in red and the serices don't work ... any idea? (same problem with other program as icloud) thanks, regards Massimo

3. special characters
Hello, I have a page in php where there is a connection to a database, in my remote server there are no problem, but in local (wampserver5 1.6.1) the special characters (è, à, etc) doesn't appear, there is an "?" instead; phpmyadmin use latin1_swedish_ci, can I resolve this problem changing wampserver settings? thanks a lot! Massimo
