I checked all three wamp services and all three were "Disabled". I changed the status of the three to "Automatic" and started them and now the "W" in my Systray is green. I have no idea why the three services suddenly were Disabled. Can you suggest a possible reason for that change? But clearly, you have solved my problem and I thank you very, very much!!

Sorry, I should have included that I have looked in the Windows Event Viewer to see if there is any entry in "Application" section of Windows Logs. There are no entries resulting from my attempt to start the Wamp server.

I have been using the Wamp server on my Windows 11 desktop computer successfully for a number of years. My current installation was set up in February 2022, almost two years ago. Suddenly, I can't get it to start and I have no idea why. In the Windows SysTray, I see the Wamp server "W" and it is red. I click on it and click on "Restart all services". I see MS/DOIS Com

My username is an email address that I no longer wish to use. I do have the "Email Address" set to my new email address, so that's not a problem. I am just wondering if I can change my Username to the new email address. Or should I close my account and create a new account where my username is my new email address? Thanks much. Len Jacobson

I had forgotten about that httpd-vhosts.conf file. Your suggestion worked like a charm! Thank you very much. Len Jacobson

I have just recreated the installation of Wamp Server (64-bit) due to the necessity to rebuild my desktop computer. All is well except for the following three errors that show up in PHPInfo: (1) ServerAdmin -- I expect it to have my email address. Instead, it is: wampserver@wampserver.

It's been a few years since I last installed the Wamp server -- I need help, please, with finding the necessary MS Visual C++ downloads. I don't remember from previous installations that it was so difficult, but this time I am at a loss for where to find the downloads. I read thorough the long write up that starts off by saying that you must install up-to-date VC9, VC10, VC11, VC13, VC15, &

I have the following code in a PHP procedure: echo "<p>host_name: $host_name</p>"; echo "<p>userid: $userid</p>"; echo "<p>password: $password</p>"; $connect = mysqli_connect("$host_name", "$userid", "$password" echo "<p>connect_TEMP: $connect</p>"; The first three 'e

I politely accept the rebuke from you. You are, of course, correct to tell me to read the documentation. I should have done that. I'm just very nervous about changing that code as it was (for my level of expertise) the "fanciest" code I have ever written. Now I will see if I can write even better code. Len Jacobson

Thank you for this response, but truly, it IS possible to start the Wampserver at bootup. To do that, I simply went into the Windows Service section of the Control Panel and changed the settings for the three servers, wampapache664, wapmariab64, and wampmysql64, automatically start (Delayed Start). Upon boot, the wamp64 is running without a problem. My only (again, very minor) concern is tha

I have a fair bit of complex code that depends on 'mcrypt' functionality. In this forum, I have read the suggestion that it has been deprecated. Is this true? If so, can someone please suggest an alternative and guide me to good documentation for its use? Thank you. Len Jacobson

This is a very minor issue, but annoying, nonetheless. Wamp64 (64-bit) is installed on my computer and starts up automatically when the computer boots. But the "W" symbol does not appear in the SysTray. The simple solution is to manually execute the Wampserver 64 program, and then the "W" will appear in the SysTray. Is there any way to automatically get the "W&q
