well, after a long time of just giving up on it. i installed a fresh copy of XP on another computer. after installing XP i installed a copy of firefox, tightvnc, and then WAMP5. the jars loaded perfectly. after that the computer just idled serving up the website. then i installed winrar and netlimiter. during that time there was 1 reboot. after all that the jars stopped working. i unstalled winra

like i said, it has worked in some cases with WAMP5, like in a case of moving the wamp5 install to another xp machine it worked. there have been cases where we would install it on the machine and it would work, even though it was not working before hand. i am not the only person who has had this problem with WAMP5, but aparently it is a rather isolated thing. which leads me to believe it is som

If i need to install Tomcat then why does it work 100% without flaw on the same computer with a BARE apache 2.2.4 install and a apache 2.0.59 install. it also works with a plain e-novative WAMP install, which does not include Tomcat, and uses apache 1.3.37. It worked completely fine with all of those, yet with any version of WAMP5 i install(After uninstalling those others of course) it no longer

ok, myself and another person i found on another forum have been working on trying to get java applets using jar files working. after a ton of troubleshooting we know its some issue with wampserver either on its own, or in some xp enviroment. we have tried multiple versions of WAMP5 from 1.6.6 and up to current. we have tried installed in various root folders. added the mime type of course. all
