I think I am calling what I want by the correct name; I want apache to start with the PC launch even if I am not logged in. I have WAMP running perfectly but only after I log in to my XP PC. I did do the install service on both Apache and MySQL. And WAMP launches from a start up shortcut. On my other servers, the Apache console launches with the PC start...and there is no need to log in t

RiggsF - thanks for your time! a couple of things... you said: "wamp features to function normally, it makes it the defualt site as well which is only allowed access from 127.0.0.1 so people trying to get into your system using the external IP address rather than the domain name will get refused by the basic wamp security." I am using my WAMP unit as a PRODUCTION server. DNS is assigned by our name servers. I dont think the HOST file info makes any difference. And the naming convention is a reason for my last post. Thanks

I want to document and ask if what I did is the correct implementation. I run several Apache virtual servers (v.2.0.x) and all configuration is done in the httpd.conf file. found the msvcr100.dll online, manually put it in windows/system32, rebooted...seems to be working thanks week later - works fine.

reinstalled both C++ and WAMP several times in several orders and still get the msvrc error. So I assume Apache wont start as it cant ID port 80.... That dll is not on any of my 5 PCs in my office.... Advise?

clean installed 2008 and now I get the msvcr100.dll not found error. Researching...

install the program using the default values (actually have tried modifying too). At the end of the install I let it load the program and I get the failure notice. (or after the failure to load if I try to start it again)

I have tried both VC++2008 and VC++2010, loaded them prior, also tried after, and always regardless to no success. Currently have 10.0.40219 installed. And I have read the posts...so many posts. Thank you
