I just did a reinstall of wamp 20j and now apache service wont start and I get 1067 error. No other copies of my.ini exist outside of wamp. I get the following error log message Tue Oct 26 22:33:31 2010] pid file C:/wamp/bin/apache/Apache2.2.16/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run? I did a service uninstall and reinstalled the service but same error message.

Worked around the problem by downgrading my wamp php 3.3.7 to php 5.2.11 which allows connection to 16 bit hash passwords. I will just wait till my hosting server upgrades to php 5.3. After this fix I was able to synchronize my online database with my localhost database. Problem is simply password encryption incompatibility

It would be useful to be able to select Listen port during setup and and have a Menu option to test other ports (not only 80) to see if they are occupied and make changes in port from wamp icon menu and have this change propagated to the appropriate files such as httpd.conf. Wamp currently requires a manual change of files and browser address to access on any other port except default 80
