I am working with mod rewrite and virtualhosts. I'd like to be able to use the rewrite directives without putting .htaccess files out since the rules are specific to each virtual host. I am using WAMP 1.6.6. with VirtualHosts to redirect inbound http traffic to a secondary application server on a different port number (using ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse). After doing a ton of more testing, reinstalling and research - I finally tracked down a post that seems to indicate that the problem is between the V-COM SystemSuite Antivirus software and Apache. Hello, New install of WAMP 1.64 on XP Home. All seems fine until I click the phpinfo() link - then Apache.exe gives an application error about a memory location that could not be read and terminates.
