localhost displays wamp server home page

Dear all,

I have used Wamp server with Joomla 2.5, everything worked well. But when I reinstalled Wamp ( Iwas thinking I had made a fault in installation) it asked me if the Wamp home page could be the default home page. I clicked yes, but now I cannot display the homepage of the site I am building. I can access the admininstrator page, but when I click "view site", I only get the Wamp server home page. How can I reset this?

I assume you put your joomla site ina subfolder of the c:\wamp\www folder like c:\wamp\ww\site1

If not then you should

Yes, it is. As I said: the site displayed well untill I reinstalled Wamp.

Could someone please help me to restore the settings, now I cannot view my site pages, I really don't know what to do, am totally new ...

As I said, after reinstalling Wamp server it does not link to the homepage that I made, but to the Wampserver homepage (the page with server configuration, tools and your projects). How can I change the settings so that when I click "view site" in Joomla, I go to my onw homepage instead of to the Wamp homepage.
I ould be very pleased if you could help, this is so frustrating...

If you really had it showing the joomla page on localhost

Then delete te index.php in the www folder and put all your joomla files into the eww directly

Thank you Steven. I did as you told me, now localhost displays the index of my site (name, las modified, size). At least this is something, but now?

I just checked an saw that there is no index.php at all in the www folder. I started the whole system again to find out if that could change things, but still there is no index file in the www folder. Can anyone advice me on this?

joomla has an index file! or else you messed up

Dear Steven,

I guess I did mess up, although I have no idea where I went wrong. But your answer gave me the clue: I copied the index.php from the Joomla package and... it worked! Thank god!
