never ever seen this error before. Our are you sure that STOP 0x code is from wampmanager.exe?

check MSVCR100.DLL and replace that file. (its one of the .dll files used in installation file)

I get exactly the same message when I try and start the Apache service. I recently went from Wamp 2a to 2.2 so as I could work with Joomla 2.5 and 3. Uninstalled WAMP, deleted the www working folder, disabled anti-virus and installed WAMP 2.2 and I have been unable to use it since. I have even deleted the 2.2 and gone back to version 2a which works ok, but can not handle Joomla 2.5 and above due to the outdated php version.

Recently installed 2.2 again (following the recommended steps) and I still have the same problem. Wamp stays orange, port 80 is unused, host file is correctly written but every time I go to start or try and install the Apache service, I get the 'application was unable to start correctly 0xc00007b' error message.

Came on this forum seeking advice and I have found it. As an edit to my post above, I have resolved the issue with the 0xc00007b error by uninstalling the 64bit WAMP 2.2 (again) and reinstalling the 32bit version on my 64bit windows.

Hope this solution helps someone else.
