Hi members

I download working web page created with Joomla v2.5.6 from my host that runs Apache 2.2.19, php 5.3.6 and try to run on wamp with Apache 2.2.22 & php 5.4.3. It give errors on strict standards..only var.. eg
( ! ) Strict standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in C:\wamp\www\IFH\plugins\system\jumirouter\jumirouter.php on line 33
When the above scripts run in wamp 2.1, there is no probem.

When a new Joomla site is created in wamp 2.2, there is no problem.

Appreciate answer why. Some suggest i use xamp but i am want to stick with wamp2.2 & keep trying. Help please.

Simple- joomla doesn't support php5.4

Use wamp2.2 that has php5.3!!

You may find the answer, but it will be on a Joomla forum.

For feedback, the answer to the strict standards issue is in the php.ini by using the line

"Loaded configuration file". In Wamp 2.2.22 it is C:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.2.22\bin\php.ini.

Sorry mate in my multi-tasking i put in the wrong answer, it should be

error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_WARNING & ~E_STRICT

Yes this is not a solution . Use php5.3

Thanks mate, you are right it just sweep the problem under the carpet using such as
display_errors = Off

How to install php 5.3 in wamp 2.2, lead much appreciated. You must know by now, I am a total novice trying my hands on web designing moving away from Ms local network environment.
