I had this problem and after some tedious stuffing about (the PID using 80 was not being listed in task manager for some reason) I found out the culprit was Skype. So make this your first step - quit Skype and try running Wamp again.

Kryptyk,

You can configure SKYPE so that it will not use port 80.

Configure SKYPE

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection

Un-Check the checkbox next to 'Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incomming connections'

Hi,

My WAMP is also having a similar issue. My WAMP has green icon and it says "server Online" but localhost and phpmyadmin does not work.

Before starting WAMP, Test port 80 says it is not being used.

I do have Skype but it is not running (I also unchecked the use 80 port option in Advanced > Connections).

I can ping myself at both localhost and 127.0.0.1, and when I do a NetStat -o, the PID that is using port 80 is wampapache.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks
