Is there a way to use the old tray icon, or change it to something else?

I am colorblind and I have no idea which state my server is in.

Yes I can probably help you.

I know very little about colour blindness , what would be. The best for colours for you.

There is 6 states for the icon

No services running - Offline
1 service running - Offline
2 services running - Offline

No services running - Online
1 service running - Online
2 services running - Online

What would be best for this and I'll draw them

As far as I know it's red, yellow, and green (Even though I see it as red, orange, orange), I didn't know you could see if is was put online or not in the icon without hovering over it?

Anyway, the best would probably be an icon that changes more than its color. Like, the square around the W could work like a progress bar;

No square - Red
Half a square - Yellow
Full square - Geen

I don't know what the indication for it being online is, if there are one. But an idea of how to show it is adding a little globe in the corner of the icon when it's online. Just like the network connection icon in Windows.

And thank you for your very quick response!

Ok that's no problem ,
I will draw them up and send you the instruction you need to replace

Ye new wamp doesn't have online/offline in the icon but the old wamp did.

I had a look and it still has the ability to do it.

This is a very old topic and I don't know if wamp has had an update to the icons since then, but I was going through my computer preparing for a reformat when I realized I never uploaded my changes to the tray icons.

So, here they are, maybe they'll help someone. I only bothered with the "on" state, and I've never seen the "off" ones since.

images_on.bmp (note: some browsers will download it directly instead of displaying it).

Just replace the one in the wamp folder, given that it still looks like it did when I installed it ages ago.

Hi,

Thank you.

Warning : Now with Wampserver 3.0.*, image_on.bmp and image_off.bmp are used and have 24 different small icons so, we cannot use your images_on.bmp that have only 21 small icons and not at the same place.
