Systray Main Menu Not Opening

I'm setting up my new Windows 7 laptop (32 bit). I installed wampserver2.2d-x32 and it ran fine. I then installed AVG 2012 and WAMP stopped working. I uninstalled AVG 2012, and now WAMP runs, except left-clicking on the systray icon does nothing. I mainly need it to run the rewrite module.

I would appreciate insight into getting the menu to work, but if it doesn't, is there another way to start the rewrite module in Apache?

EDIT:

- running as administrator doesn't fix the problem

- I assume I'm having the same problem as this user: [forum.wampserver.com]
However there are two php.ini files on my C drive:
C:\Program Files\Wamp\bin\apache\Apache2.2.21\bin\php.ini
C:\Program Files\Wamp\bin\php\php5.3.10\php.ini

EDIT 2:

changed "rick-clicking" to "left-clicking"

I mean about the systray icon. Right now I have a green icon, localhost works, but I can't left-click it to enable any modules.

I've also re-installed it several times and tried stopping the process and restarting it to get the menu to work.

EDIT: I'm sorry I made a mistake typing my original post. I meant "left-click" not "rick-click" :-)

I'm not sure what happened with Teamviewer, but I have shut down for the night. I'll be back in 20 hours.

I'm back. I appreciate your willingness to help Steven. Do you want to give Teamviewer another go? The menu still isn't working, and I can't figure out what is wrong.

One right click brings up that menu, double left click brings up the pop-up box, but one left click still does nothing.

The website for Aestan Tray Menu is down too.

I have "menu.left" in my wampmanager .ini and .tpl files, it's just not triggering for some reason.

EDIT: Oh well, I guess I just won't use the menu. I forgot you can enable the modules through httpd.conf and access phpmyadmin through localhost.

Thank you Steven, but it's alright.

By the way, if anyone else runs into a problem with AVG, have them follow these steps:
Uninstall AVG
Reinstall Wamp if it still doesn't work
Have Wamp running when you install AVG

This is crazy... the menu now works. Without writing a paragraph why, I think it was caused by Windows 7.

Anyway, everything works now.

Thank you for your help and patience Steven.
