Will Wampserver allow me to run and test CGI scripts locally?

Well as a software package without proper support is virtually useless (Note how many 1 post questions go unanswered on this forum)

Uninstalled - will find a better supported framework thanks

People dont reply to people like you...

cos the only answer i can write to your first question is

"YES"

The problem is.. its not a wampserver thing... You need to know what a CGI script is before you come here... then someone can help you.

What language is your cgi scipt written in? do you need to run it through a website or CLI?

If you show some sort of clue that you tried to figure it out youself, people are much more likely to help you.

and this is coming from someone who has 6,013 Posts on this forum

and as for you last comment - Its OPEN SOURCE. i dont see you answering other peoples questions!

please dont use WampServer. you can get WampDev for 99$ if you want support

Oh sounds like an insult, would you care to elaborate what a person like me is, because so far I can only assume you mean 'one who asks a question'. As far as that goes as my post states I understand people don't answer simple questions on this forum thats why I uninstalled and left.

Oh finally well that wasn't too hard now was it, shame it's a little late.

Yes thanks I am aware of what a CGI script is

And you need to know that to say 'YES' why now?

[sarcasm]Right yes didn't think of that before I took the time and effort to ask *facepalm*[/sarcasm]

Searched 'CGI' no results
Searched 'CGI scripts on WAMPSERVER' and only this thread and something in french appears.

Oh wait sorry I was supposed to search 'WAMPSERVER patch' (according to your link) to get the relevant information, yes well thats logical isn't it ?

So once again these forums FAIL and this time it's a moderater trying to make me out to be an idoiot, perhaps you would do the honours of just locking this thread, my issue has been resolved. K thnx bye

Now I know why Steven had negative comment on your posts since if you do simple search on cgi perl, it will return like millions post as stated:

[forum.wampserver.com]

[forum.wampserver.com]

[forum.wampserver.com]

Just post a couple threads that had question directly to CGI Perl winking smiley
