WampServer

i have been using php since august 2011, so i am very new to environment.
last week i could no longer access phpmyadmin. i get an apache HTTP Server error and when looking at the technical details of the error it states SzAppName: httpd.exe, SzAppVer: 2.2.17, SzModName: php5ts.dll,
SzModVer: 5.3.5.0
the php5ts.dll is in the proper directory.
i have not done any recent changes to any config files.
I am using windows xp home sp3, wampserver 2.1, apache 2.2.17, mysql 5.5.8, php 5.3.5 phpmyadmin 3.3.9

i can access mysql and run php programs but i cannot access phpmyadmin.

very frustrating trying to fix this....any help i would appreciate.
