connection timed out

Hi,

Recently i got a problem with wamp - the connection to localhost seems to time out and nothing ever opens. The server is up and running, also no errors. The icon appears to be green. When pinging localhost, it returns everything correctly. Maybe anyone has a clue what to to in this case?

in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc, open file hosts and delete anything in this file and have only this line below and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost
