Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to deny outsiders from seeing the phpMyadmin page when they go to my site?

If possible, I want it to forward to my forum.

This sounds like you have no website in the www folder?

You are correct, I don't have a website (as of right now) but just a forum that is under the folder 'forum'.

But when I try to put an 'index.html' into the www folder, it still takes me to the phpMyadmin page instead of the index.html.


Edit: Well I figured out how for it to not show that page (localhost). I had to take out the index.php that was in the www folder.

Is there a way to forward it to goto /forum instead of index.html first?


Edit again: Nevermind, figured out how to get it to forward in the Apache .conf file

There should already be a index file in the www folder.
You need another index file in the forum folder.

the 'forum' is basically a website.
Did you follow the guide for setting up your virtual host?

You should setup VH instead; then, you can type 'http://site1' to show the webpage and/or content of folder c:\wamp\www\site1, for example, 'http://site2' to show the webpage and/or content of folder c:\wamp\www\site2, 'http://site3' to show the webpage and/or content of folder c:\wamp\www\site3 ... in additions, you can add their shortcuts to custom WAMP Menu for quick access; check screenshot below

No matter within or outside LAN access, you need to setup Access, DNS, and VH; Access for permission to connect to your Wamp PC, DNS to tie Domain(s) to your Wamp PC, and VH to host multiple Domains/Websites/IP's and even you have only 1 Domain/IP, you should use VH to set it up w/ the site you want to show up first on top and localhost on bottom and others in middle if having more than 1 site; w/ VH, other PC's, no matter w/i or outside LAN, can access/see websites/contents of that particular folder set for that particular VH on your wamp PC. If dont have real Domain, just skip DNS guide
