Hi all,
I have been using WampServer for a long time and I am very happy with it.

I run it from a USB datastick for portability and ease of backup (including databases).

What I do to get it on a new system (Win XP SP3) is to plug in a blank USB as W: and install Wampserver (2.1e-x32) to W:

I then remove (and delete data from) the datastick and plug in the original with all my work on it.

I then edit the windows hosts file to reflect and VHOSTs in WAMP.

This is a long preocess especialy considering that all I am achieving is to make some basic changes to the windows registry. I move offices all the time and there must be an easier way!

This is what I would like to do -

1) Find the exact changes to the windows registery. Can someone help me with this please!!!!

2) Build a .reg file with ONLY these settings.

3) Write a exe to make the changes to hosts

4) Bundle the above into a .bat

5) Set autorun to the .bat
