hi there, I have just intalled WAMP server today . it is connecting I can get to the main page when I type [localhost].

But if I click on the phpmy admin sign I am getting the below message

The website declined to show this webpage
HTTP 403

anyone???? I have uninstalled and reinstalled wamp many times. I can access local host. I can access SQL but I cannot access PHPmyadmin. it is very frustrating..

I have looked at previous posts from other people but their solutions do not seem to work for me.

oh also to note.. if I go to localhost on the indext page and try to click onto sql buddy or web grind I get the same error message...

strange issue from just an install...

Hi I'm not sure. Steve had to do it for me. I stuffed up as I set my SQL password through run rather than through phpmyadmin. He had to fix it for me!

Hi, I just fresh installed wamp and had similar problem accessing phpmyadmin. I have #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured) error.
I noticed that the wamp icon is only turning orange, not green. Also, When I checked windows service, wampmysqld service is not running, and when I tried to start the service on admin privilage i got error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly.
Tried changing hosts file but still no luck. please help me..

He've got that issue because he didn't setup password properly, so need to reset MySQL then follow the guide to setup password properly

You should set Backup right after set WAMP successful so you can restore if having issue
