Unauthorized access to main website?

Step 9 of virtual host, it says:

"If using web ip,

A) [123.345.567.789] (to access domain.com)
b) [123.345.567.789] (to access sub1.domain.com)
C) [123.345.567.789] (to access sub2.domain.com)

my question is, if i take approach B, then couldnt somebody use some common sense (realize if there is a sub, then there must be a main, and input my ip address to access my main domain/site without me giving them the link to it?

If the above is true, then shouldnt my main site/domain be in its on folder as well to prevent somebody from intruding into it? ex: [123.345.567.789] ??? Therefore, shouldnt the "www" folder be left empty with only other folders for projects/sites?

Another quick important question, if i port forwarded to port 8080, then here at "VirtualHost *:80", shouldnt this be changed to "VirtualHost *:8080"?

everytime i open my wamp server :

HTTP Error 404.4 - Not Found
The resource you are looking for does not have a handler associated with it.

Detailed Error Information
Module IIS Web Core
Notification MapRequestHandler
Handler Not yet determined
Error Code 0x80070002

Most likely causes:
•The file extension for the requested URL does not have a handler configured to process the request on the Web server.

Things you can try:
•If the file extension does not have a handler associated with it, add a handler mapping for the extension.
•Verify that the handler associated with the file extension is properly installed and configured.
•Create a tracing rule to track failed requests for this HTTP status code. For more information about creating a tracing rule for failed requests, click here.
Links and More InformationThis error means that the Web server does not recognize the file extension of the requested resource. A module handler is not configured on the Web server for this extension. If the file extension being denied is required by the Web server, add the appropriate handler for the file extension.

Make sure no other program conflict wamp such as Xampp, phpEasy, IIS, Skype, Zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, NOD32, Eset, any web and/or Remote Desktop related program, such as Teamviewer ...

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and might conflict in some way, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista/W7:

Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp

Also, in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc, open file hosts and delete anything in this file and have only this line below and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

If using Skype, go to Tools->Options->Advanced->Connection and uncheck the box "Use 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections". Restart Skype after WAMP. Now you will be able to use both programs at the same time w/o problems.
