Hi,
I setup password and setup database and then added new user with password and when i went to login i get the following error message:

"phpMyAdmin-Error
Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly."

Any ideas?

Thanks

i dont think that is the issue ...

it would give you a 1045 error on a yellow page if it was a password error.

but your getting a red page error.

Melissa if get teamviewer and ill do it for you...

I started whole process again: I uninstalled and installed wamp again, did backup then changed password and when i tried to login in phpmyadmin i get this message:

Error

MySQL said:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

If you deleted the wamp folder FULLY
and cleared the browser history FULLY
and the wamp icon is GREEN when you reinstall then
The situation your describing isn't possible.

If you still remember your password, open up this file & manually add in password..
--> C:\wamp\apps\phpmyadmin3.4.5\config.inc.php

Check out this image to see how to do it: --> aupapa.com/100/mysql1045.jpg

I'm having some of these same issues. I will uninstall/install/clear browser and check back in. Will let you know if it works. What time zone are you in?

I tried all of the above and also looked about mysql for password issues. I had loaded MySQL stand alone yesterday, but uninstalled so I found that it was automatically starting services and disabled them. But still get this message. I am Windows, Vista, 64-bit laptop.

This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.

For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.

Tried the above fixes and now can see WAMP Config screen but still no access to aliases. Error 403 continues on these locations.
